POWERSOUND(TM)
design is used in all of our cabinets. It delivers huge tone, making you sound bigger and more 3-dimensional. Powersound also solves the open v. closed-back dilemna, giving the warm, full tones of an open-back cab with the focused crunch of closed back cabs. Powersound excels at spreading sound around the room and increasing apparent volume, while actual decibel level is lower. This means no more cranking up higher and higher and still not being able to hear yourself. Powersound delivers the perfect tonal response to cut through the mix so you are heard while all levels are still in professional balance.
Reality sets in... you want professional tone, but you just don't need the large and expensive cabs that can deliver it. Why carry around a back-breaking mammoth capable of producing ear-bleeding decibels when you're mic'd at most gigs anyway? But of course if you downgrade to a smaller cab, that's exactly what you get... a smaller tone. Powersound is the solution. Our cabs are solid, and substantial in size, so they look cool on stage, but they produce a much larger tone at more useful sizes. For example, our Freda 1x12 Longbody gives honest to goodness 4x12 depth, punch and power. So does our 2x12 in an even bigger and broader tone that many players find bigger than their 4x12. Our 2x10 and 4x10 cabs achieve an amazing response that you never thought possible from a 10" speaker.
POWERSOUND, not ported. Unlike a bass port (which only extends bass frequency), Powersound extends the entire tonal response of the cabinet, giving you more apparent volume, a bigger feel, and a wider tonal response.
